Dear Northwestern Families,
We continue to have safety concerns in the parking lot during our middle school dismissal and we want to ensure the utmost safety of all students, parents, and staff. Please read the following important safety information and know that you are appreciated in your cooperation with the school.
Beginning on Monday, October 12th, in the afternoon, vehicles will be allowed to enter the pick up line at 2:50 pm or after. No one will be permitted in the afternoon pick up line prior to 2:50 pm. We have to address this issue as we continue to have safety concerns in the parking lot between vehicles and buses. We must ensure that lanes of entry and parking lot entrances are open and not blocked so that buses and emergency personnel can get in or out of the lots. Lining up on the road is also a safety concern and cannot be permitted while waiting to enter the parking lot.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter, we always want to ensure the safety of everyone. We will add signage reminding patrons that entering the afternoon pick up line before 2:50 pm will not be allowed. If you have family members or friends dropping off or picking up your children, please share this information with them as well so that they know our new procedures.
